The Super Summer Slam Spectacular Pentad Cups on Union and Defiant are only one step away from the Finals, where the Pentad Champions in both the Bantamweight and Heavyweight Divisions will be decided.
As well as fame and fortune, the Pentad Cup champions will win a staggering array of extremely shiny prizes and the chance to represent their servers in the Super Summer Slam Spectacular Grand Finals, which will be held in September.
To see the match-ups for the Semi-Finals, check out the S4 message boards for Union and Defiant. You can catch up with the action so far and trace the route of your favourites teams through the tournament in our Week 6 Pentad Cup Brackets. These costumes will be worn by the winners of each server’s Pentad Cups when they represent their server in the Super Summer Slam Spectacular Grand Finals.

The brave heroes at Gamespy have been taking a look at Issue #5: Forest of Dread, the next major update for City of Heroes, including the new zone, Croatoa:
Among the new enemies available are nasty little imps called Red Caps who enjoy wearing silly pointed hats that aren’t so silly when you realize they’re red because they’re dipped in the blood of their enemies. There’s also a new giant monster roaming around called Jack-of-Irons who aids his imp friends when their cleverness fails and a massive ass-kicking is required.

Following the trials of City of Heroes offered by PC Gamer magazine in the UK and Micromania magazine in Spain, two new trials are now available for Scandanavian gamers, giving you the chance to join the heroes of Paragon City in their fight against crime for 14 days - completely free of charge.
The trials are available with the current issues of the Danish magazine PC Player (Issue 8/2005) and PC Gamer Sweden (Issue 104). Both magazines feature the full City of Heroes client on their cover-mounted DVD. PC Player also includes a trial code that you can use to create a 14-day Free Trial account. PC Gamer Sweden, on the other hand, will be distributing the trial codes to their readers via their website at http://www.pcgamer.se/ (full instructions on how to get the code are included in the magazine).
To help you get started, you can download the newly updated game manual here. If you have any questions during your trial, check out the Official Message Boards, where there are plenty of helpful, experienced players who are only too happy to help out newcomers to the world of City of Heroes.
