In all the excitement of getting the European Test Server up and running, it seems I managed to miss the fact that Derek Sweet, whose City of Zeroes strip has been bringing a smile (and the odd groan) to our faces for a while now, released the first full-length City of Zeroes comic a little over a week ago. Oops.

Like the regular strip, City of Zeroes Issue #1: Lamer in a Lame Land considers the lives of the often-overlooked ordinary citizens of Paragon City and the perils of living in a place where super-powered heroes and villains are blasting each other with energy bolts every day. After a hard week dispensing justice in the alleys, sewers and abandoned buildings of Paragon City, what could be better than slipping into a clean costume and kicking back with some of your fellow heroes? That’s the idea behind the regular Paragon Club Nights on the Union server, and the next one is being held this Friday (that’s 8 April, date fans).

The organiser, Quickblade (Draven on the Message Boards) will be in Steel Canyon from 7.15pm, teleporting interested heroes to the entrance to the club for the 7.30pm start. For more information, see his thread on the boards.
