Build a Better Bridger
15 Mar, 2007
Design a new costume for Bridger and win stuff!
After two and half years of patrolling the streets and skies of Paragon City in his familiar red and black costume, Bridger has decided that it’s time for a new look - and who better to come up with one than the heroes he’s dedicated his career to aiding?
What do I do?
All you have to do is design a new costume for Bridger, note down the details as explained below, then send them and a screenshot to ukcompetitions@cityofheroes.com before the end of Friday 30 March.
What will I win?
As well as the pride of seeing Bridger sporting your costume design at all official events and other in-game appearances, the creator of the winning costume will receive a unique title on the official message boards and for the character of their choice in-game, 60 days of free time for your game account, and a limited edition Lord Recluse statuette!

How do I enter?
First, design your costume. You are free to use any costume parts you have access to, including capes, auras and any Veteran Reward costume pieces you may have unlocked. You can create an entirely new costume from scratch, modify his existing one or anything in between. Bear the following things in mind:
- Bridger’s basic body shape is ‘Male’, and costumes should be designed for this body type.
- Bridger most commonly exhibits the powers of an Invulnerability/Energy Melee Tanker, and he can fly. Although he has the physical appearance of a human, all his powers appear to be inherent abilities, and he is of Natural origin.
Once you’re happy with your design, take a full-body screenshot, either from within the costume creator (you’ll need to hit ‘Print Screen’ then paste the image into an art application of some kind to do this) or in-game (in which case, the ‘Print Screen’ key will automatically save the shot to the ‘screenshots’ folder inside your City of Heroes folder).
You should also make a note of the exact costume pieces and colours used to create the costume. Use the colour table shown here (click the image for a larger version) to specify the colours, and list each costume piece as it appears in the costumer creator. As an example, here are the details of Bridger’s current costume:
Head: Full Masks
Face: Mask Full 1 / Mask 1 (A1/F2)
Ears: Human
Detail 1: None
Detail 2: None
Detail 3: None
Upper Body: Tight
Chest: Tights Muscular / Stripe 3 (F2/A1)
Shoulders: None
Chest Detail: B (F2/A1)
Gloves: Smooth/Bare / Full / Sharp (F2/A1)
Belt: Tied Cloth (A1/F2)
Lower Body: Tight
Pants: Tights / Stripe 3 (F2/A1)
Boots: Flat / Tights / Sharp (F2/A1)
Back Detail: None
Auras: None
Please be sure to specify each and every element of the costume, complete with the relevant colour codes, so that we can recreate it perfectly for Bridger to wear.
Once you have both the details and a screenshot, email them to ukcompetitions@cityofheroes.com, with the subject Build a Better Bridger.
That’s it, you’re done!
