Give the Gift of Holiday Cheer!

Winter has arrived, and brought some new friends and old foes with it.

Winter eventWinter is blowing in across the bay to Paragon City and settling on the Rogue Isles like an icy blanket. New presents and threats await both heroes and villains this holiday season.

By simply logging in and visiting Paragon City or the Rogue Isles between 14 December and 2 January, your character will receive the Cold Front badge, a Fuzzy Earmuffs costume piece (so you can look stylish and keep warm while patrolling the streets or committing nefarious deeds), and the Holiday Spirit Temporary Power, which grants 24 hours of Debt Protection.

You’ll also receive the Holiday Cheer Temporary Power - a real gift of giving. By targeting another player and using Holiday Cheer, you’ll award them a Mystery Gift - which could turn out to be a sack of Influence, Infamy or Prestige, a Temporary Power, or maybe even a very recognizable hat.

But that’s not all…

Time of Cheer

The sounds of holiday cheer not only lighten the hearts of heroes and deepen Recluse’s frown - they also seem to lure old foes back from distant defeats to the present time.

And time is what it’s all about! While winter lasts, a new contact can be found in Pocket D - Old Father Time himself. The keeper of the new year has a crisis on his hands that could bring an end to the whole universe! Heroes and Villains can band together to tackle this task, which sees an old foe make a vengeful return.

Old Father Time can be found through a doorway in Pocket D that leads to a ski chalet built on a piece of the Shadow Shard. If you help him out, he’ll give out a choice of one of several fabulous holiday presents.

Naughty or Nice!

On top of everything else, the Gamester will soon be loading the streets and rooftops with his dubious gifts once more. His presents might hold an Inspiration or Temporary Power, or they might reveal less favourable items like a Lump of Coal, a Snowbeast, or maybe even a Winter Lord!

The Gamester’s presents will be found throughout the Cities from 18 December.

oOoh!!! - I purposely avoided a sneaky peek at the Christmas Ski-Slope until it was ready to be released live to the servers and It looks amazing fun by the picture and a lot bigger than i imagined.
Great idea about the giving of Christmas cheer presents -very in keeping with the sentiments of the season!.

Gotta love that ski slope area. Brilliant idea. Well done everyone involved. This is a really nice edition to the Christmas season and is another reason why i still love COH after playing it so long. Let the good times roll!

saka: Pocket D is an interdimensional club run by the mysterious DJ Zero. There are entrances in several zones across Paragon City and the Rogue Isles (they’re marked on the in-game maps).

don’t forget peeps, theres at least 10 badges up for grabs in this event..... you can get some by killing many of the same enemy, you can get more by completing the baby new year mission and another by collecting lots of presents.

thankyou to the developers, you have outdone yourselves with this event… i love the villains + heroes team aspect, i only hope there can be more regular zones like this one

This is so fun. We get our own winter palace in Pocket D, presents everywhere and a winter mission and a winter GM. Halloween was great, but this is even better!
