Continuum ‘06

31 Jul, 2006

Another great weekend of fun and games.

We came, we saw, we conquered the Hess Task Force! Last weekend saw NCsoft Europe’s first visit to Continuum, the biannual roleplaying, freeform and board games convention, which took place at the University of Leicester’s Beaumont Hall from Friday through to the small-hours of Sunday night.

It was a great convention, and the eight PCs in our online gaming room were rarely given a moment’s rest as newcomers and old hands put the latest NCsoft games through their paces - including, of course, City of Heroes and City of Villains.

The highlight for those of you who came along to see us, though, was Saturday night’s Task Force - we had so many people who wanted to play that Rockjaw generously bowed out, allowing seven players to team up with myself and take on the might of the Council on Striga!

Read on to see the pics and find out how we did…

We’d like to thank everyone who came along to see us at Continuum ‘06, including of course the valiant members of Task Force Continuum. We hope you had as much fun as we did.

Remember, the NCsoft Europe roadshow will be heading to Memorabilia at the Birmingham NEC in November and Dragonmeet in December. For more details, check out the Events Update thread on the official message boards. We hope to see you there!

It seems rather small, like really small,is it just photo wise or was it really that small ? (the event area)

No, it’s just far away (Father Ted Joke)

It actually housed 250 odd people and was a smart time.

Loved the shot of Ms. P using the fire extinguisher on Burke wink

Damn I’d have loved to go to an event such as that. Is there a mailing list or any similar thing we can sign up to to find out when the events are next?

Scarlet, your best bet is to keep checking the official site here - we announce whenever we’re attending an event.

If you’re just looking for RPG conventions though, you might want to try the UK Roleplayers message board at http://www.ukroleplayers.com/
