Lights! Camera! Action!*
25 Nov, 2004
The rather splendid City of Heroes Warcry has posted interviews with two of the winners of the immensely popular Paragon City Film Festival that was held a while ago. Both were asked the same questions, which makes for an interesting comparison. When asked if there was anything he would have done differently, Brian Shapiro, winner of the Best Comedy award, said:
Actually, this is one the few films that came out exactly as I envisioned it. If I had to be picky, though, I’m not good with lighting. I wish that could have been better. Personally, I wish I had more hair as well!
Whereas Best Action winner Mike D’Anna of the Liberty League thought:
One thing that I did not know of at the time that I would have utilized more of had I known was demo editing; the only demo editing I did was to remove playernames & damage dispays. I have since seen some of the amazing shots people have created from scratch with demo editing, but all the shots in our movie were filmed “live”.
