If you can imagine an over-the-top TV show narrator doing that headline, it works a lot better, honest. Watch:

Can it be?? An actual City of Heroes Deluxe box? Fear not - we have the details, BELOW!

Yes, we took delivery of some early sample copies of the European edition of City of Heroes this week, and it looks snappier than an alligator with an appetite.

Available in five (count ‘em) localised versions across Europe (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, for those counting; the game itself is only available in the first three languages, however) the City of Heroes Deluxe box is packed to bursting with good stuff. It’s so packed it took just a slight probing to burst all over our desk, as you can see.

Pawing through the contents we’re pleased to report that the exclusive Comic Digest looks fantastic, in our humble opinion; there’s a meaty load of story to get through while you’re installing the game from the two CDs or DVD included in the box.

If you’re bored you can also take a peek at Scott Kurtz’s PvP comic - translated, just like the Comic Digest, into French, German, Italian and Spanish - or gaze in wonder at Paragon City, with a map that’s been updated to include all the content in Issue # 3. Which of course is also included in the box - in digital form, mind you.

So the CD and DVD are the same version, just a load of disks in there? or there are seperate dvd only and cd only versions you can pick up in the stores?

No difference really, im looking forward to getting my mits on it though, it looks awesome, and only a few weeks away...ooooh!

Most of the links in the FAQ are to the normal version any ideas where this version will be on sale?

Mike: Not sure which bits of the FAQ you mean, but at launch, the Deluxe edition will be the only version of the game available.

you complete and utter barstools, having a tight time with money I was considering cancelling my order and getting it later when I could afford it. Looking at this now I can’t bring myself to do it.

Ehm ... It’s a nice game and I suppose nice bonus gear inside. I just don’t get why the ‘special’ stuff is special. There is only one version of the game available so doesn’t that mean everybody will have that ‘special’ stuff making it in fact ‘ordinary’ stuff or am I missing something here.

Ok i’ve preordered the game!!!! Hopefully have it delivered for friday!! But what i want to know is this.....Will a NORMAL version of the game be released at a later date, You know.. with out the cape and other bonus stuff?? I mean to call this the deluxe would suggest an normal retail box too! If not then everyone is gonna have a cape before lvl 20??
