European Beta closed

The European Beta Test of City of Heroes has now closed and the work has begun to get the servers ready for the launch of the game later this week. The message boards have also been disabled, and will be restarted alongside the live servers.

We’d like to take this chance to thank everyone involved with the European Beta both here and over in the US, but most importantly, all of you who took part as beta testers. We hope you enjoyed your time in Paragon City - we know we did.

Don’t forget, if you’re looking to pre-order City of Heroes Deluxe edition before the February 4th release date, we have details on where to buy, and what’s in the box.

Also, there are a couple of new FAQs aimed specifically at beta testers that we’d recommend you take a look at, concerning using your beta message board account and using your beta client in the live version.

Haven’t decided if I’ll be in retail or not...I’m still looking for the ultimate MMO to invest my time in. It’s very possible I won’t find it at all, and just decide to post all that energy into my RL instead.  /images/smileys/shade_smirk.gif

but please dont have winterlords on release they ruin the fun of the game in my opinion too many peeps leveled too damn fast which spoils the game for them as they miss out on the story arc missions and such

IMHO it would be bad for the game if there are left in

peeps getting to lvl20 in under 8 hours is to much if u ask me

slow down enjoy whats going on in the world /images/smileys/smile.gif

Great Beta.

Just a quick question. As a subscriber to the US game, will I have access to the Euro servers on Friday (Be nice to play locally!)? I dont mind having to start a new character.

i was just wanting to know.. since the Time cards arnt due for release until the 4th.. (which means wont have them until after open) does this mean the game coes with free time? and can u use this free time without reg a time card first… cos i dont want to have to wait until my time card arrives and miss the open....

Wicked. Pre-ord sent before Beta closed. Heck this game even made me appreciate Swedes! Looking forward to backing from real danger with you all on retail! After all I am THE SHAKER!!

Just tried to migrate my billing account on plaync from us to eu and it says the key is invalid, if this is a no-no to moving servers then I’m not a happy chappy, actually I’m not happy as it is with COH, playNC or Cryptic and that damn I3 and it’s horrific changes to the AR powerset but hey, no need to start that here.
