1. Log in to the game using your City of Heroes account.

2. Select the server the character you want to transfer is located on.

3. You will now see the character selection screen.

4. At the bottom of the screen you will see two buttons – Buy Server Transfer and Buy Rename Token.

5. Click the Buy Server Transfer button

6. The Character Transfer Warning window will appear. Please read this before continuing. To continue, click the OK button or click the CANCEL button to return to the character selection screen and cancel the purchase.

7. After clicking the OK button, the server destination window will appear with a list of available servers to transfer your character to and the number of available character slots you have on that server. Select the server you wish to transfer to and click the OK button. You can click the CANCEL button to cancel the transfer and return to the character selection screen.

8. After clicking the OK button, you will be prompted with a Security Authorization window.

If you do not have a “Card on File” for billing purposes with City of Heroes and City of Villains, you will receive the following message:

9. Enter in your PlayNC account password and click OK to continue. You can click the CANCEL button to cancel the transfer and return to the character selection screen.
NOTE – You will only be required to enter your PlayNC password the first time you authorize the use of Card on file.

10. After clicking the OK button, you will be prompted to confirm the payment for the Character Transfer. Click the Charge My Card button to continue and finalize the character transfer. You can click the Cancel Order button to cancel the transfer and return to the character selection screen.

11. After clicking the Charge My Card button, the transaction is initiated, and you will see the following message.

12. Once the transaction is completed, you will see a final confirmation message.
