The Inside Track
Discover an altogether new form of heroism in the Arena. Found in the heart of Equinox, this is a combative showground where the defenders of Paragon City go toe-to-toe. Step into the ring and let the games begin…
Venture westward under the protection of the Freedom Court and pay a visit to one of the Superpowered Field Trainers. For a small wage, they will part with some powerful Enhancements.
Galaxy City
No hero can truly claim their place in the stars unless they can also claim intimate knowledge of the bright lights of Galaxy City. The gravitational center of all things heroic, Galaxy City’s bustling business has its heart in the city’s Freedom Corps, the hub of which can be found at the center of this friendly locale.
The Freedom Corps HQ, that nexus of justice and honor, is a first point of contact for many fresh faces straight out of our busy training program. While perhaps not as famous as Atlas Plaza, the work done here is of no less importance. A solar pantheon of heroes, a constellation of courage that crosses the ages of Paragon City, has walked these hallowed halls for more than five decades.
You too can expect to join them by making your first moves in the struggle against chaos at our divisional offices, each one providing for particular predilections amongst our courageous clientele. Whether your antics orbit around magic, mind control or ol’ fashioned American brawling, Galaxy City’s network of contacts are there for you. Our trainers are always on hand to point young heroes in the right direction, and to provide the enhancements that will make your powers something to be proud of.
Perhaps, if you’re the competitive type, you’ll want to show off those powers to an audience in Galaxy City’s spectacular gladiatorial arena. Little else in Paragon City draws a crowd like heroes going toe-to-toe in our amphitheatre. So find a team, bring along friends, and sign up for a match up that you’ll never forget. Don’t worry though – it’s just for fun (and education!) and safety is of paramount importance.
But Galaxy isn’t all bloodsports and law making. This intimate and busy little district, like much of Paragon City, depends on an amalgam of commercial and industrial enterprises to keep its world turning. And there’s one man who has seen it all, from the loading bays of Constellation Row to the unbridled industry of the Orion Beltway. Our chief trainer Back Alley Brawler is a Galaxy native who’s cracked down on crime in every corner of the city. Don’t be intimidated by his enormous stature - he’s just as friendly and helpful as any of the city’s administrative staff, and will ensure that you make the most of your rising powers. If anyone knows how trouble should be dealt with it’s Back Alley, who has cudgeled more criminals than you’ve had hot meals. Say hello outside Freedom Corps HQ.
Those heroes looking for more relaxing surroundings might want to take a stroll in the serene surroundings of Gemini Park, Galaxy’s spacious and well-maintained arboreal garden landscape. Perhaps while you’re there you might want to help out our gardening team and crack the heads of some of the local thugs that lower the tone of the area. Those vandals, they never seem to learn.
After a stroll in the park, many Galaxy City residents like to catch a movie at the Orion Majestic, our historic cinema on the Orion Beltway.
The Majestic has long been the home of a different constellation of stars – those of the silver screen – and was only recently saved from demolition by proprietor Nathan Thomas. If you’re in the neighborhood, why not swing by and say hello? Nathan is always glad to see new faces.
But we know that you’ll soon want to move on – the fight against crime leaves little time for sightseeing. If you’re simply taking in Galaxy City as a stop over point to other destination then there are quick links via the highway to the arcane boulevards of Perez Park, or perhaps your path lies between the decaying towers of Kings Row. If anywhere will need your attention, it’s going to be one of these two districts. The rest of the city can be reached using our green line monorail, with shuttles leaving every ten seconds for destinations across the city.
We won’t say good luck, because in Galaxy City we know you won’t need it.
