Atlas Park

The Inside Track

Feeling a little run down by running? Save energy and time by using the Yellow Line subway to get around town. Paragon Transport Authority has laid down the lines, so you can lay down the law.

Head into the heart of Atlas Plaza and seek out a hooded Hero Corps Field Analyst. For a small fee, they’ll ensure you’re guided to tougher challenges in future.

Atlas Park

Welcome, traveler, to the City of Heroes. Our tour begins with the spotlight on Paragon City’s noble nerve center: Atlas Park, the heroic destination that’s bound to lift the weight of the world from your shoulders.

Atlas ParkWhether you’re a man of action or lady of leisure, the Atlas Park district should be every hero’s first port of call. Celebrating the sacrifices of one of Paragon City’s most historic heroes, Atlas Park is the social and business hub of our multi-cultural metropolis.

Dominated by the colossal statue of Atlas himself, no visit to the city is complete without a stroll (or hover, if you prefer) around the elegant environs of central Atlas Plaza, famous for its sculptural celebrations of humanity, freedom and justice. Plaques dedicated to many past heroes provide visitors with a rich sense of the turbulent, heroic history that makes Paragon City so very special. Who can say which heroes will one day line its pleasant boulevards? Perhaps, with a little luck and a lot of grit, you’ll one day match up to such legends…

Atlas ParkSculptural assets aside, the Atlas Park area boasts some of the finest architecture in the entire city, with all roofs buttressed for jumping heroes, thanks to last year’s Rooftop Highway Act – there won’t be any embarrassing skylight-cracking accidents in our city! Down on the asphalt, the streets are alive with color and the laughter of a wealth of different peoples, not least the local street gangs, the Hellions, who provide plenty of opportunity for you to practice arrest tactics before heading out into the city proper. Those pesky Hellions might be feeble muggers, but they’re a menace that everyone can (and should) tackle with a smile and a clenched fist.

First time visitors to Atlas Park are encouraged to socialise under the watchful gaze of the grand Atlas statue. This is the first location you should visit for training enhancements from our ever-present Freedom Corps, as well as picking up contacts for your adventures throughout the city. Our resident legend, the lovely Ms Liberty, will help you on your way to becoming a big hitter in the city.

Atlas ParkThe plaza’s large and friendly meeting area is a popular venue for young heroes to hang out and show off, and nothing gives you a better taste of city life than joining in with one of the boombox dance sessions that are regularly enjoyed by all of Paragon’s heroes. A hop and a skip away is City Hall, the bureaucratic ballroom where heroes are handed the baton of justice by our many hardworking divisions. This is also the place where Supergroups hire heroes, and prepare to carve their own legends into the fate of our city. (See registrar for details. Usual terms and conditions apply.)

So whether you’re flaunting formidable powers, or hooking up with like-minded heroes, Atlas Park is the place to do it. Of course many heroes will be eager to see the sights and dispense their personal brand of justice – and for that purpose Atlas Park is the perfect gateway town. Either hit the green line monorail for destinations throughout central Paragon City, or take the expressway route to the formidable Skyway City, the mysterious Perez Park and the world-famous Steel Canyon, Paragon City’s all-in-one downtown ‘buy-and-fly’ location.

Whatever your destination: remain steadfast, and stay vigilant.
