About City of Heroes and City of Villains

In 2004 City of Heroes was launched, bringing the world of comic books alive in the first massively multiplayer game of its kind, and winning Computer Gaming World’s MMORPG Game of the Year award. In 2005 City of Villains arrived representing the dark side of the struggle between good and evil, and earning Game of the Year from MMORPG.com.

Today the battle continues. Players have created millions of unique heroes and villains and set off to fight crime in Paragon City™ or become infamous villains in the Rogue Isles™. This Buddy game account allows players access to both award-winning games. The only question is whether to protect Paragon City as a crime fighting hero or help the evil Lord Recluse™ bring it to its knees!

How Does My Buddy Serial Code Work?

Your Buddy serial code can be used to create a new account, or it can be applied to any existing Beta, Pre-order, or Trial-only account. It cannot, however, be applied to any existing full retail account including City of Heroes, City of Villains, or City of Heroes Good Versus Evil Combined Edition. It can only be used once and is non-transferable.

Buddy serial codes require payment information to be entered at the time of creation in order to activate the included time, but you will not billed for that time. At the end of the 10 days, because this is a Buddy game account, you will not need to purchase the City of Heroes or City of Villains games. They are both included as part of this Buddy serial code. Subsequent months can be paid for using game time cards (purchased at retail) or the payment method you selected to initiate this Buddy game account. You will be able to continue using your character(s) from your original Buddy game account.

Simply follow these instructions and you will be playing City of Heroes and City of Villains in no time!
